8:00 PM—The Oxford American magazine is excited to welcome the Latin Jazz All Stars to Little Rock! This is the second show in their 2017-18 Jazz Series. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with dinner and drinks available for purchase at that time. The series is made possible in part by presenting sponsor UCA College of Fine Arts & Communication.

Latin Jazz All Stars is an ensemble that features Claudia Acuña, Chembo Corniel, Nestor Torres, Elio Villa Franca, Richardo Rodriguez, and Diego Lopez. These contemporary masters of Afro-Cuban, Salsa, and Brazilian and Latin Jazz have shared the spotlight and showcased each other to sold-out houses all across the country.
Claudia Acuña is a Chilean vocalist, composer, songwriter and arranger. Her debut album, Wind from the South, was released in 1999 on Verve Records, followed by Rhythm of Life in 2001 and Luna in 2004. Acuña’s first recording on the Marsalis Music label, En Este Momento, was released in 2009. After taking time off to enjoy motherhood, Claudia is back and currently working on new music for her sixth studio album.
Combined, these talented musicians have played with an enormous range of greats, including Dizzy Gillespie, Celia Cruz, and Paul Simon, to name a few. The Oxford American is very excited to welcome Latin Jazz All Stars to the South on Main stage for an unforgettable night of music!
